In it’s original state, San Soo is no nonsense street fighting with an “anything goes” approach used to protect yourself or others. San Soo was conceived and perfected in China for the protection of Priests living at a Quan Yem Buddist monastery. One Priest left the monastery, returned to his family and
swore them to secrecy as he trained them in this fighting style that was passed down through their generations.
One of that man’s decedents, a legendary street fighter named Jimmy Woo later came to the United States. Here he broke years of trust by teaching this secret fighting method to anyone who wanted to learn.
Jimmy passed away in 2001. Calvary Chapel Chino Valley’s instructor Sam Silva learned directly under the tutelage of Jimmy.
